I’m newer to banjo. Started November of ‘22 (thank you Jim Pankey). I’m progressing quickly through dedication, a burning desire to learn and a longtime companionship with guitar.
I’ve recently been getting into putting these beasts together. Mostly to figure out how it all works, and to try to get to different set-ups that I like.
My thank you to all you BHOers is any question or obstacle I come up against -either playing or cobbling- there is a path to resolution here on the boards. You all rock.
Gregory, just so you know (and remember) that's an Earl Scruggs quote from around 1960 on the Martha White radio show when Earl was debuting his brand new Vega Earl Scruggs banjo. He and the announcer were talking about it (obvious plug). T Tommy Cutrer, the announcer said "That's kind of a gold thing ain't it Earl?" Earl replied "Well actually Tommy I designed it." T Tommy then asked "so if I get one of these I'll sound just like you?" Earl hesitated for a beat and then answered "Best Wishes!".
So, when confronted with a "what should I say? moment", you can't go wrong quoting Earl!! "Best Wishes".
