Looking at buying a new resophonic banjo, down to 2 choices. Rickard has a great reputation, but not as “ornate” looking as the Capek. Concerned that with little name recognition, resale down the road will be less on the Capek…. Nothing is forever… thoughts?

Resale on a resophonic guitar tuned as a banjo(that’s all it is) is going to be bad no matter what. They only make things like this for banjo players that don’t know how to play guitar, and there are many banjo players that also play guitar amongst a myriad of other instruments. I mean, look how hard it is to sell a tenor guitar. It’s nearly impossible unless it’s being given away.
Just my 2 cents… and that’s all it’s worth.
