Had a fun 3 hour jam at the Sail Power and Steam Museum yesterday afternoon and expect to see some of those folks again tonight.
Great old traditional 19th century Grange Hall. The music sounds so good bouncing off wood approaching 150 years old.
These old buildings need a lot of community support to stay healthy. The roofs are always expensive projects.
There are hand-painted back-drop curtains for their stages painted by Italian immigrants from the late 1800s and early 1900s that have considerable value.
Our Odd Fellows Hall has a BBC 9 foot "Cambridge" pool table with "Egyptian Freeses" and rope carvings.
I've seen that table model sell for 50k.Wonderful stages in all these halls and folks willing to do the upkeep on everything.
