Tom, Rick, SandChannel, Don, Omeboy, thanks for your comments! I cut the tail of this song because I didn't like it. I should have redone the whole piece, but surely it would have turned out differently, because I can't read music and everything I play is improvised on the spot. Also, my memory is failing due to my age. As for the bass part, it is regularly audible using headphones or a stereo system, not the small speakers normally used with PCs or, worse, mobile phones.

Thank you Paolo! I modified my approach to a banjo: I don't feel to play a banjo but rather a wind, while soloing. I started this approach after I heard you and Eddy.

Nice playing, Marco. To my ear it has an Elmer Snowden vibe. My problem with “Marie” is I can’t shake Leon Redbone’s voice in my head whenever I hear it, no matter how differently it is played.
I always liked that song.
