I need light strings with as little tension as possible because of arthritis. But not so light as to sound thin. I usually use D’Addario ej61s or the 60s but I need at least a 23 on the wound 4th otherwise there’s a twang I don’t like.
I’ve heard silver plating reduced tension and black diamond makes them.
Any advice would be appreciated.

In my experience, nylon strings will perform better at low tension than will metal.

I like these. They should well for your stiff hands and sound nice, too!

GHS sells a lot of different gauges of strings, but they have a 22 gauge on lighter sets. You could buy individual strings from Elderly or elsewhere.

Great idea on the EB strings I’ll try them.
