4wd/dump is the only way to go with those.
They have regular 4 cyl. name brand engines, but Maine won't let them go more than 35mph on town and state roads.

SEMA is trying to help Maine and Rhode Island be able to register these vehicles.
They make vans and cars,too.

Fig , ya know that’s the ultimate ice fishin rig…………..still plenty of ice………what the hell are ya waiting for???
I’m really surprised we don’t see more of them here in da U.P. , But people don’t have a problem spending $25 K to $50K on a side by side that can’t hall much!!!
I know the side by sides have a different purpose, but I’d prefer the haul ability!!!

I think it must be the car/truck manufacturers that make it so hard to have these trucks.
Each state is different on them and some treat them like regular vehicles.

I looked at a web site selling used one and they range anywhere from 6k up to 11k that's a big range if you ask me. Cheaper than a side x side.

It's good to go look them over when shopping.
I might be able to run one around town by painting the town name on the door and staying in the town boundaries.
Hard to justify the money for limited use.

Well, that brings up the case of a '69 Mach I Mustang which can be licensed having no catalytic converter.

25 years old is the number I think.I believe there is work being done in that direction for Maine.Fingers crossed.

All I need a truck for is going uptown for lumber and the weekly dump run.Used to be able to find an old truck for less than 2k that would take a sticker for 4-5 years before the frame dissolved. Now they're trying to get 4-5K for stuff on its last legs.

We used to keep our eyes on the back lot of the Ford dealership and catch the occasional used truck  that was on the border line of being gone through or sent to auction and get a good deal on something that needed work.

It's a cool looking vehicle. The original side by side. Does it have much room in the cab?
