Hi y'all - I'm digging through my vast assortment of parts and have been coming upon lots of fingerpicks.
Some of these have been discussed and there are archived ads, but still a few I'm curious about. Anyway, thought it might be nice to start a thread with some pictures and let knowledgable folks weigh in?

So, to start things off, I've found a good number of threads on Dunlop metal fingerpicks but not found much on the ones pictured. I haven't buffed these but I'm curious what era they are...Using National's evolution as a model, these would appear to be the earliest Dunlops...not specifically gauged...

Anyway, look forward to seeing some cool picks!

These PAT PEND would be the earliest Dunlops, I'm not sure what year they started....

Haha - that makes a bit more sense Stacey! I know I've seen some of these in my boxes too. Anyone know how to date these?

I did a little research and Jim Dunlop started in 1965 making capos, then in 1972 he started making picks... so the oldest the first picks could be would be 1972..ish

I don't know exactly how to date them but I have a pair just like them that I got when I was in high school. That was from 1979 to 1982. That is not a very scientific way to narrow down a time frame but it may give you an idea.
I remember that I bought the set of finger picks and the metal thumb pick for 75 cents and I still use them sometimes after forty years.
