An areal object was shot down off the coast of Alaska today. Very few details so far, but it was supposedly the size of a car. Might have been Fred McMurry's Model T powered by Flubber.

This has been a strange series of events. So far have always managed to make the payload unrecoverable, which makes a bit more sense over heavier populated South Carolina but you can't find an empty field in Alaska?
Ooooh I do love another conspiracy. I heard it was Mary Poppins that was shot down like a spoon full of sugar.
I don't think that there is any conspiracy here. Just a lot of questions.
The spokesman on tv said that it was shot down over snow and ice (which is possible in Alaska and it still being off the edge of real, official land), so it is recoverable, and people will not likely have to get wet doing so. They will probably have to wear their cold weather gear however.

I liked the brigadier general Pentagon press secretary who did the press conference this afternoon. When asked to describe the object, he declined to do so because he didn't yet have enough information, and then he said, "I don't want to make something up".
I wouldn't want to be the blimp pilot at the Super Bowl this Sunday when they do the military flyover.

Tongue-in-cheek, bubba, kids aren't the only ones "doin' it." [I'm not gonna check, but I think I recall DC5 earlier today saying in some thread or other that he wasn't "doin' it." IF I've got that wrong, Dave, I apologize profusely.] Btw, what does doin' it have to do with sarcasm?

I don't know, I can't remember which it it is that I may or may not be doing.
Let's shoot it down and then we will figure out what it is ......OOPS ..... sorry about that!
Ed Snowden has just accused the US with creating an "engineered panic" with these UFO balloons, for the purpose of distracting citizens and media coverage from the illegal bombing of the Nord Stream pipeline. That does define him a conspiracy theorist, but he has a bit more cred than most, as he proved, at very high personal cost, that the conspiracy theory that our government was illegally spying on us was in fact true.

Eric Snowden and I shared similar backgrounds in our line of work. Retiring within the same field of thirty years had opened my eyes to the fact that data sales not matter what kind of data there will be someone who would show an interest. He was the guy that brought this to light but went further with the spying aspect. That old tiresome saying.... if you ain't doing nothing wrong.....
another thing.. how that data is collected that's the root of a lot of conspiracies and those that choose to believe.
