Around forty years ago I was given an old banjo and it has been in my loft all that time , it obviously needs renovating and I was wondering as it is so old is it worth getting it fixed, I am in the uk and if I decide to get the work done can anybody recommend somebody to catTy out the work , thanks in advance , Geoff
Could you upload some images of the banjo using the attachment feature underneath where you write the message? That might help you get specific advice related to the banjo and its condition.... also we just love looking at old banjos.

p.s. I have an Abbott Monarch tenor banjo - it is a great instrument. Is yours a tenor, plectrum, 5string or banjolele? The banjolele is highly sought after. I would be interested to see a 5string Abbott Monarch - please post photos!
