I've also tabbed my arrangement. The tab is not an exact note-for-note transcription, but it does capture the general sequence, and the variations I play. Also note that this arrangement is set in the standard G tuning, but I play it in the key of C, which made the fretting much easier for clawhammer style. Letters above the tablature lines indicate chords.
Thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy!

Simply beautiful. And beautiful in its simplicity.
I've been working on this off-and-on for years in three-finger in C, G, and even a stab at D and have never been able to get it to flow like this. The timing in 3/4 is throwing me off. None of the three-finger versions I've looked at for inspiration are as inspiring.
It sounds so good in clawhammer -- and does your clawhammer playing.
What a way to start the day.
Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Ken! When I started working on a rendition, I was dubious about it working out an relatively simple clawhammer version that had a strong melody line. But I was still trying to play it in G, in G tuning. Playing it in C in the G tuning really boiled it down for clawhammer, without losing any of the beauty of the melody. I added a bunch of subtle variations, and you can pick and choice what you like from that, or add your own. Have fun!

The arrangement is not extremely difficult, or at least it doesn't go beyond the 4th fret. Grab the tab, and see what you can do. I played the lyric and chorus three times through, and varied it slightly each time. If you just focused on the first time through, as tabbed, you'll have something pleasing. No need to play all the variations. Just give it some time and practice, and you'll get it. You know the song--now you just need to let your fingers find the way!
