Last night I was in a jam and one of the guys sang the song I’M GOING TO SEE MY JESUS. He said it was a Flatt And Scruggs song but I haven’t been able to find it anywhere on the Internet. I’m starting to think maybe it’s got another name and those are just some of the lyrics. Has anybody ever heard a gospel bluegrass song, or just a gospel song, with those lyrics? Would it be possible to find out who started the song and ask him/her if there's a recording of it or if maybe they would give you the lyrics and chords so you could learn it?
How about the title "I'm Going to Live with Jesus", number 28 in Virgil O. Stamps "Radio Song Album". If you want a copy of this song let me know.
Sherry, I called him. He said he thought he might have it on a cassette tape, but hasn’t had any luck finding it.
