Tuning is fDGCD. This tune was written by Chris Coole of the Lonesome Ace String band. He recorded it and it's on an album called Old-time Banjo Festival from 2007. But, this is out of circulation, it doesn't stream on any platforms, and it isn't available for download on Chris' website, or anywhere else. And there are lots of other versions on YouTube, but not one from the originator. So though I've looked, and I've tried to listen to the original, I haven't been able to.
So my version may be too different to be called the same thing. Maybe I'll find out one day...... (Chris Coole messaged me on Instagram, and said he is going to record this again soon......)
The tune is really nice to play, but needs quite careful emphasis in the right places, or it just seems to merge into a dirge...... Maybe that's true of all tunes, perhaps even more so for this one. Go gently with it?

That's some wonderful picking there, Andrew. Don't know what Chris Coole's version sounds like, but if it sounds anything like yours, he'll be doing good.

Thanks Don,
It's a lovely tune, glad you liked it!

Being the three finger picker in our marriage, I'm exposed to clawhammer as well, as my Elly does that.
So I know good clawhammer when I hear it, and yours qualifies with all ease.
Also, the subject (title) touches something that is close to me as well.
Next Sunday it'll be exactly 2 years ago I shot this video, less than 1 km from where we live.
Too bad, our corner of the continent hardly ever sees any winter, cold enough for bringing us ice, strong enough to skate on. That's why I became a Shorttrack speedskater almost 50 years ago, staying indoors all the time.
Beware, strong wind noise towards the end!

Did you guys notice how literally nobody is wearing figure- of icehockey skates?
Speed(=distance)skates outnumber the other sorts about 10 to 1
Why? It's in the Dutch genes: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/elfstedentocht-netherlands-skating-marathon-bill-whitaker-60-minutes-2020-03-08/

Ironically, I'm (almost: was) a Shorttrack speedskater and though I love being on natural outdour ice, I don't do hour after hour. Apart from that all, I cover my hands with special, cut-proof gloves as I'm a musician too....
You can hear the original from Chris Coole on iTunes. It's in a album called: "The Old Time Banjo Festival".

Thanks Ivor, I started out playing three finger, but wasn't very good! I haven't looked back since getting the hang of clawhammer!
Nice to see more Brits picking banjos!
