I have a 20’s Vega Tubaphone No 3 that has a Sure Grip tailpiece (or some would call a cammed no-knot) on it. The banjo currently has nylon strings, and though I enjoy playing it in that setup configuration, I was thinking of putting steel on it for some playing. This only came up because I sold my other tubaphone, and am sorta missing the tone for clawhammer.
Can that Sure Grip TP handle steel, or should I just purchase a cheapo no-knot for steel use?

Sounds like I should be good to go then, thanks!
