We had some interesting takes on the Paul Pelosi attack police video a while ago. It is now available for viewing, choose your own source. Whatever the heck all happened that night, this is one very odd video! I suspect mental illness on the part of the intruder and a high degree of intoxication on the part of the victim.

Paul Pelosi was awakened by the intruder in his bedroom.
No evidence presented that he was intoxicated.
Not political in the slightest. He is known, so a celebrity for better or worse, and someone who we discussed here before. This is an update. Jim, I did not say that he was intoxicated, I stated "I suspect" based upon watching that video. Did you watch it? Both of them had what to me were silly grins inappropriate to what was happening----and especially to what happened next. That is why I called it odd.

What an incredibly dumb thing to say about Mr. Pelosi being attacked in his own home.
Why don't you just say there was blame to be had on both sides?!?!

Rather than cryptic replies, why don't you just state your objections?
Don't like the NY Times?
You have evidence that it happened another way? For another reason?
Go.

How is it a "far more significant event"?
Both are tragic.

Is your 12th birthday party over already?
Sad.
Hopefully you at least had some friends show up.

I agree both are tragic. but the police killed the victim and the polical consequences maybe greater, mayors are already asking for calm demonstrations and there is fear that the video might cause riots or violent reactions. At least the police were charged with murder , so the charges of cover up may not come out, we will see, yes ,nobody wants to see people physically attacked especially by people that are swore to serve and protect.
