Hey,

Here's one from the local classifieds. The weird resonator, holes in the pot, and inlaid .. whatever they are has me confused.

Curious if anyone has any info, as I haven't seen anything quite like it.

Never seen anything like it. The general neck design would point to late 1800s / early 1900s. I'd suggest figuring out how to remove the resonator , it has to be removable somehow and see if more info can be found inside.

My bet, homemade Frankenstein banjo.
Wonderful.
Someone enjoyed drilling.
Fancy bicycles used to sometimes have DRILLIUM parts, very fancy.

There was a tenor banjo that had a similar perforated steel hoop that was on the outside of a wooden pot, theoretically to effect tone? I don't recall the model...

Possibly English made judging by the scalloped tension band? Did any American makers make them with scalloped bands?
