Thanks! It's been too long since I watched these. Seeing Earl play that guitar on Jimmy Brown, the one with the top half of the guitar covered by a black pick guard. I used to see F&S at the Troubadour every time they came out to film Beverly Hillbillies and have memories of watching Earl lay his head on the guitar when he picked it. And Lester is still my favorite front man of all time!
I remember well Earl and I talking about when he would rest his ear on the side of his guitar while playing. He told me it was a great sound. He could hear everything so differently. Give it a try it's pretty cool sounding.
