It saddened me to learn of Kirstie's passing. I went to high school with Kirstie, in Wichita, Kansas. She came from a nice family of modest means and was just normal kid, and was on the swim team. Most folks do not know of her good qualities that she indeed possessed. We all know the other stuff covered so well in the rags. Later in life, my wife worked with her on decorator and design projects in Wichita. I was told she did have a good eye and feel for such projects. Rest in Peace Kirstie. Brad
Wichita is providing a lot remembrance on her life. She kept a home just down the street from us and though she did not steadily live here for quite some time, she did keep a presence here with friends and family. She always had a big Christmas outdoor display for folks to enjoy, could be seen at her regular favorite diner, and often seen at Traditions Furniture and Design where my wife worked for years. A shop owned by good friends of hers. Like most stars, she had good times and could be a PIA as well. A sassy one for sure. Even though she worked with my wife on some projects, I doubt she really ever knew my name. After all, Kirstie was in the class ahead of me.

I liked her as an actress, but even more when it became apparent she thought for herself and was not influenced by fame stature or money ..... pretty typical of people that grew up where Brad and she did!
There is always the public eye, and rumors that may or may not be true to try to persuade in some way...
But those who knew her more closely and can attest to her character, those are the people who were allowed to be touched personally by her. God bless all you guys who knew her more than most of us. I think God did just that.
