I'll be fine, really,but just frustrated beyond belief. Especially as I'm missing yet MORE work. Was tested twice over the weekend for flu and other things, and x-ray looks good. So there's that. Never a dull moment here. Plus I'm getting lots of kitty therapy!
I’ve had that—tied with asthma. No fun. Azithromycin and prednisone (not good in itself) took care of it.
Got a 10 day round of doxycycline, and some of those tessalon cough pearls. The inhalers I already have, lol. Hopefully I'll be on the mend soon.
A mixture of honey and whiskey for a sore throat works wonders: take too much of it and you won't care if your throat is sore or not (G).
Seriously, that remedy does help soothe a sore throat and if you don't indulge in spirits, honey and lemon juice will suffice. Take a tablespoon as needed.
I've been using tea infused with some Crown Royal Apple (fancy!). It is soothing, and if need be, we have the more high powered stuff on top of the 'fridge. LOL. ??
Our old Doc Reagan in Oklahoma advised my mother, who was down with a heavy cold: “Do what I do—take a double shot of good bourbon whiskey and go to bed.” That was in the early 1950s, when Oklahoma was still dry (at least legally).

I was one of the 6 million, by last count, having what my doctor called respiratory flu. I am past the fever and now on week three of lung grunge. Feeling much better. No prescribed meds, but took a lot of Mucinex DM, along with bourbon, lemon juice, honey hot toddies.
