I settled on a Neotech Slimline strap for both of my Phantom and Moonshine. I tried others and had trouble fitting them in the case. The Neotech straps unclip, so the strap a can fit in the storage compartment. Then if you are Playing seated and would rather not use a strap you have that option. I also find these straps to be very comfortable. They have loop ends that cinch to the support brackets on the frame. Super easy to install or remove.

You'll find a Neotech strap will serve you very well. It detaches from the banjo and reattaches easier than any other strap I've ever encountered. Also, it is the most comfortable strap in existence, with some softness and flexibility in the part that hangs off your shoulders. I've been using the same strap for about 25 years, and it still looks to be in almost new condition. Unless you just absolutely need to have leather the Neotech strap is ideal in every way.
If you have old - really old! - copies of Banjo Newsletter, I wrote an extended review of the Neotech strap sometime in 1999 or so. If you can find the review it might tell you a bit more. But also check the Neotech website: neotechstraps.com/
