I have bought them (current edition) to donate and paid $400 with the stock gig bag. $500 with a hard case is not unreasonable if it's a good hard case. Shipping on top is a given. Hard to eat that, but these come up regularly in most locations on Craigslist and FB Marketplace, so it might price you out of contention in some areas.
From my tracking of prices over the years, I see the going rate for used Goodtimes hovering aound 75% the cost of new. The inclusion of a case or gig bag seems to make no difference. That is, even though a Goodtime doesn't retail with a case or bag, adding one on resale doesn't bump the price. And cases don't bring more than gig bags on average.
I think some sellers of new ones throw in cases or gig bags to sweeten deals.
Your $500 plus shipping is right in line with what I've seen.
At a reasonable price. Especially since yours is the current model with the typical Deering headstock (not the original "Gumby") contrasting wood inlay, and the upgraded 3-ply rim (instead of multi-ply).
Unless the market's gone soft, this should sell. I don't think I ever see these listed for less.
Good luck.
