Just wanted to let folks know that Pete died yesterday. A very fine player, and person. An enormous loss for Vermont, the Northeast and beyond.
Very sad news. I did not know him personally, but his music described a gentle soul.
The old time world and beyond will miss this light, this special soul.
A real loss. May he rest in peace.

I only know of him from the wonderful Banjo Gathering CD but his contributions to that effort were standouts and I enjoyed them greatly. RIP Pete.
