Good dark and early morning from cooling and warming Kingston, Ontario. It's 4C now, will drop to -2C, then rise to 8c under clearing skies. Yesterday's fun began at about 3:30 a.m. in the emergency department of KGH, with another kidney stone attack. Fortunately it wasn't as bad as the previous month. So, after four doctors and an ultrasound (and no bill), I eventually found myself back home - and msssing the session at the Seniors Centre. The only excitement was hearing someone in emerg shouting and security guards go running. The nurse said that things happen from time to time. Today, no plans yet.

Thoreau MacDonald was the son of J.E. H. MacDonald of the Group of Seven. This oil painting is called "Stormy Sky".

Have a great day!

A very good day too, from the Lowlands by the North Sea.

Like most of the times, winter's well hidden behind the horizon over here.

With south - southwesterly winds, temperature is well above freezing at a depressing 9 degrees.

Many trees have meanwhile shed their leaves although most shrubs are in green still.

Faint sunshine, to be replaced by a thick cloud cover with possibly some rain later and temperatures rising to 10 degrees or even higher....

62 degF in the shade in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin.
VERY warm for us in November at this latitude.

Ran my errands on the scooter ( 120 MPG) instead of taking the van (27 MPG)

We've got a small and artificial tree up at Mary's, just a simple string of lights around the front window at my house.

8PM blizzard came in right on time, ought to be gone by midnight, maybe 10 cm snow.
I bought new lights for my living room fig tree a couple of years back. I must ask the house keeper to find them and put them up on a timer. There's a few Christmas ornaments from a decade ago still in the tree. Stuff with sentimental value, they can stay there.
