I like the kind my daughter brings home. She works for the little cups people. She gets the discards, that may be marked wrong, mis-filled, or misprinted. They have very high standards, I highly recommend them. So my favorite is whatever is in the next little cup, and you never really know what it's going to be, but it usually is a coffee. The flavorings can be surprising sometimes...
Folgers medium roast.
Sometimes Starbucks but very rarely.we keep a small bag incase the Folgers runs out. Doesn’t taste the same as when they first became popular.
And last but least(the “not” left out purposely)Mellow Joy this stuff will put a caffeine rush on you in a hurry. It’s a Louisiana Brand.

Same here even though they sponsor my favorite young NASCAR Driver Noah G. I don't see helping them by buying their brand.
I rip open McCafe' or Folgers dark pods and steep them in a Lagostina press.
Robson Roast is made less than a mile from my house. Their dark roast bean is pretty good.
No idea where they are buying their green beans or the market source.
I can hand grind enough beans before the kettle boils to make quite a performance out of it.
I recommend a press and add boiling water. Steep 5 minutes. Same for loose teas. I inherited a funky old hand-crank grinder of dark wood and brass. Little pull out drawer in the bottom to catch most of the coffee. Most of that makes it into the press. The rest of it is just one more kitchen mess for me to tidy up.
Union Coffee. A roaster not too far from me. I get a kilo of their basic Revelation espresso roast every few weeks and a 250g bag of whatever small lot they're pushing. I used to have one of those cone-burr grinders. Replaced it with a cheap blade grinder when that blew up and really can't taste the difference.
Brewed in a Siemens-Porsche filter machine that I've had for over 20 years.
That's a good one chuck! We do Coal miners in a French press on the weekends . It's McCafe in the Kuerig during the week. Coal miner might sound funny but this island was founded on the British looking for coal.
Iffin any of youse guys drop in for coffee at our house, it looks like you might be well-advised to bring yer own!!* All we have in the house is my "special blend" of Maxwell House Original + Dark Roast mixed half-and-half. [But on the bright side, I can at least read/pronounce most of the stuff in this thread... unlike some stuff in the supper and other FF threads. ]
* = y'all are welcome ... don't be dissuaded, so long as you're open to a workaround.
A few years ago we had breakfast in a hotel restaurant in Brandon, MB .... flogging its coffee as "Better than Seattle's Best." However, for me [with a stomach that has on occasion in the past been referred to as "cast iron"] it was undrinkable. I mentioned to the waitress that I figured it wasn't even Brandon's best, let alone better than Seattle's. After explaining the "whoosh" over her head, she offered to bring me another cup of it. As if!!! I politely said I'd make do with the water.
