The WV State Archives recently uploaded this video of Aunt Jennie (spelled "Jenny" here, but from what I understand, she usually spelled it Jennie) Wilson from Logan County, WV playing two songs - Fish on a Hook and Bottled in Bond. She plays the first clawhammer and the second in a two finger style. Some good quality footage that I thought hangout members would enjoy seeing.

Thanks. Too short. It reminds us all of how the old time music sounded many years ago. Her two finger, thumb lead, is clean as is her clawhammer. We've gotten a lot fancier but not really any better than the real deal.

Check this out. I watched the video you posted and went ahead and subscribed to the WV State Archives Music Channel and today this appeared on my recommended viewing:

This sounds A LOT like Noam Pikelny's "Old Banjo" from Universal Favorite. I like both of them but I have to dig out that CD now and see who Noam credits as the writer.
