I have hit a writer's block. with the mix of folks on BHO I am sure I can pick a good one from your suggestions on how to complete this sentence:

I was shaking (trembling) like a _____________________________________.

Thanks, brad

What does the previous sentence look like? It would perhaps help stimulate some ideas in-context.

I thank all of you for your suggestions. Though I won't say what phrase I did use, I now have several "shakin like a ......" worthy of using in other conversations.

BTW, I rarely use metaphors in any of my writings, if ever. But, I was itchin' like a dog with fleas to use one. However, in BS conversations I probably use them only as much as, the times I made money playing the banjo!
