Here is a wonderful and gentle Radio Show gathering of Earl and the boys talking about and playing a few great tunes by Earl and the boys...I found it to be what my feelings have always been about this wonderful music is about and where it came from.
These Men just wanted to play the music they grew up with and loved. I think the Culture back then was a lot more gentle and modest and it was about the "Band" not just the Banjo...This video gave me a wonderful memory of when I first heard Bluegrass. Here are two beautiful tunes that Earl played on this radio show. Take a little time and listen to this brief show...

Here is another, older, show from 1947 with Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys, with Earl on banjo and Lester on guitar and vocal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LmvpmsOXf8
The recording quality makes the music very difficult to hear. The point of my video was really to show how the Foggy Mt. Boys treated Bluegrass and each other, not to show off Earl...Jack
