Good dark and early end-of-the-month morning from cool Kingston, Ontario. It's 6C now, will drop to 3C, then rise to a sunny 18C later. Since the jam has been cancelled (National Day for Truth and Reconciliation), a good bicycle ride might be in order. Yesterday I tried photographing our "new" kitties. Charmin (the soft one) was the hardest to get, and I still don't have a decent pic. Bobbi (the stubby-tailed one) posed.

Have a great day! (Ride!)

Have a fantastic Friday everyone. The remnants of Hurricane Ida are heading our way. It’s still off the coast of the Carolinas, but the clouds have started moving in already and making for a pretty sunrise. We may get an inch of rain. My thoughts are with the people in Florida including my brother David and his wife. I haven’t heard from them yet.

Put some laundry out on the line to dry before I went to work this morning....

....and noticed there was frost on the roof of my house.

"The best laid plans" and all that jazz.

Woke up in intense pain this morning. Went to the hospital. My planned bicycle ride got scratched. Kidney stones. Ow!

So sorry Paul. Those are awful. A female friend of mine passed a large kidney stone and said childbirth was much less painful

Ha! When they were going to ask me about the pain, that's one of the things I decided against saying: "I'm making history. I'm giving birth."

Sorry to hear that, Paul. I’ve had two of them,,,no fun at all. I carry ibuprofen with me now,, it relaxes the ureter so the palpitations don’t hurt as much. A doc at the last hospital where I had treatment for a stone advised me about that. I also drink lots of water and lemon juice nowadays.
