I've had this Weymann banjo-mandolin for a while and have just taken it apart to clean & set up. I don't recognize the model number and there is no serial number nor model ID that I can find. The neck bolts onto a heavy, grey metal (aluminum?) casting. The neck is positioned onto two brass rods that are set into the pot casting. That's my blue chalk label inside the resonator.

A decorative flange sits on a wooden ring on top of the heavy casting, and a heavy, non-ferous (nickel-plated brass?) tone ring sits on top of the flange. The j-hooks pass from the notched tension hoop through the flange & casting. and are secured beneath the casting by long hex nuts.

The pot assembly is 11" by 2 1/2". 14" scale length, brass frets. The decal on the back of the peghead says "Weymann Mandolute", but I don't think this is a mandolute model. It now has a skin head and great tone / volume.

Does anyone recognize the model and year ? Thanks in advance for input..........
