they seem to be in the key of b but can't tell for sure--

It seems like Noam has not been mentioned or heard from much lately---he sure gets clear notes up high--I wonder does the radius neck help that --not that he is not over the top talent --without it===

Excellent musicianship,,, but I think sometimes speeding up one of those old tunes takes away the charm. It goes from danceable lilt to breakdown blur. Just mho……. I might change my mind tmrrw

I custom slowed it down to 90 right off the bat----faster is actually easier and lazier for me once I get a tune --- clear at  a  fast tempo--I have to pull harder to gain the sustain and longer fullness of tone needed --when going for slow ---But fast is the usual john q public gasping noise--
PS
when I made my post this morning I noticed Noam online--I felt a little important for a second ha ha

Sometimes the music isn't for the listeners but for the musicians playing it. And sometimes music that was exciting when heard live in concert wears off quicker when listened from a recording of the live event.

I bet if they had come together to record the song, they would have made an artistic decision about the speed they wanted to have and I'm certain it would have been a good decision.

Noam and the Punch Brothers are touring now. Wish they would come up to my part of the country some day.
