Y'all have seen me post this notification for past rallies before, come on and see what it is all about.

Have you ever wondered what was originally played on all those banjo built from about the mid 1880s up to WW2?

Curious what "classic banjo" is all about? Find out for yourself at the ABF rally!

We moved to a new venue last spring and it was perfect. Small, clean and recently remodeled hotel with a great meeting room. Lots of other things to do in the area like museums, wine tastings, antiques...

Best Western Palmyra, in Palmyra, NY (nearish to Rochester-- also a good opportunity to stop by Bernunzio's Uptown Music). 955 Canandaigua Rd, Palmyra, NY 14522, 315-597-8888. Call early to reserve your room and get a special rate.

I'll get on Drew to come up with them.

Yeah, I've been spending way too much time in my "shop" messing around with various wood crafting projects and carving.  A couple years ago I learned how to sharpen tools-- I mean really sharpen them (thanks youtube) and now I like cutting stuff a lot more than I did before.  That and I upgraded my scroll saw for my birthday.

I started brushing up on the things people play in general this weekend. I'll have some new ones ready for the round robins though.  The initial feelers indicate that we will have a good turnout.

Excellent!

Miz Diane and I are driving to Charlotte, NC tomorrow to pick up my new table saw (3hp Sawstop). I've gotten my shop about 85% clean, have finished 16' of cabinet frame and will be making face frames, drawers, etc  to finish them out. Sharpening is zen. Making chips and shavings is relaxing.

I'd go to the event but have no way to even get across the street.

My sharp tools are not being used right now. However, tools should be kept up even when not being used. A good, sharp blade is actually safer than a dull blade that needs extra pressure applied in order to cut.

If you are planning on attending but have not yet booked your room, now is the time to do it.
