Three of us are headed over to the Boothbay Opera House tomorrow for The Jerry Douglas Band at 7:30.
We went there a year ago to see Jerry with the Earls of Leicester.Great, old hall built right off the harbor.
He spoke of his love of seafood last year.I guess he's come back for seconds.
Enjoy. In my judgement, Jerry Douglas is the greatest musician thus far produced by the Bluegrass genre. And I don't even like a Dobro.
Great show and a small venue (2-300) for Jerry.
No banjo, but powerful guitar (electric and acoustic),fiddle and bass.
They played some very strange timing and I didn't realize Jerry could sing as well as he did.
They played straight through with no intermission and Jerry said they would love to record there.
