For those concerned about long waits for good banjos, I recommend the following builds from Cedar Mountain ...

https://reverb.com/item/42870553-cedar-mountain-banjo-jubilo-line-2018

I have no connection to either sale.

Woops!

Looks like one of these is gone.

Somebody didn't have to wait.

I have one of Ali Gordon’s. I got son and moon on the headstock and diamond neck inlays. (It was around 1996 when only mountain banjos lacked inlays.) Lloyd was making block rosewood pots then and staining curly maple necks to beautifully match the pots. If the neck is walnut as described, the pot probably is, too. Also his neck shaping was great. (Not that Tim’s current ones aren’t great, too.) They are heavy but sound great. It’s still one of my favorites as it is for everyone who plays it. Lucky buyer.
