Hey folks, are there any NYC-based bluegrass teachers?
Extra points for Manhattan; my preferred river-crossing method is by kayak, but the Deering won't fit in my hatch.

Thanks, Jack. I'll DM you.

Is Jack the only banjo teacher in all of Manhattan? Man, you're supposed to be able to find anything in NYC!

My BAD I took it that the OP was looking to attend in-person  classes in NYC. Not lessons over the Internet which would extend his options.

Hi Adam,
I just emailed you. I've tried for more than a years to come back to NYC and it is impossible to pay what the Landlords are asking for a 10x10 room. My Landlords told me I was illegally subletting my apt. and they were dead out lying and told me to take it to court. Well, lawyers would bankrupt me--I called a few. Landlords are now charging 3,000 dollars per month.
Just driving to NYC costs me 50 dollars with all the tolls. I've been teaching more than 25 people a week via Zoom and it's great because I know how to do it successfully. Many teachers have also left NYC because so many new Landlords are buying the existing buildings and charging ridiculous prices. So sorry but I'd have to charge too much for in-person these days. Several students are from BHO and it's working out great...Jack  p.s. You should be able to find a teacher in NYC to teach somewhere that hasn't been booted out...
