Hello all,

A little bit of shameless self-promotion here, but honestly, the artists that recorded on this track with me are so much better than I'll ever be, so please enjoy their mastery and ignore my unworthiness! I am honored to have been in the presence of such legends...

From my upcoming album "Just a Little Talk with Myself" I want to share the one track on the album where the hair was let way down and the rocker side came out! The song is "Bent to Fly" (originally by Slash and Myles Kennedy) and features the legendary John Cowan (The Doobie Brothers, New Grass Revival) on lead and harmony vocals. A banjo cover of a Slash song was already an adventurous choice, and in my mind John Cowan just had to be the one to sing it, so I was stretching farther than I could reach... but Scott Vestal, who produced the album, called John and made it happen! On this track, I play banjo and "electric guitar-jo" (basically a solid-body electric guitar with 5 strings, including a tunneled 5th string, tuned like a banjo), then there is Chris Brown on drums, Stuart Duncan on fiddle, Byron House on bass, Cody Kilby on guitar, Gaven Largent on dobro, and James Seliga on mandolin.

A YouTube link for listening:
Alternatively, an .mp3 is also attached for listening.

"Just a Little Talk with Myself" will be my first solo album, and is scheduled for release on September 16, 2022. It was produced, recorded, mixed, mastered, and given a heavy sprinkling of magic fairy dust by my banjo hero Scott Vestal.

Thanks for listening!
