Perusing the Classifieds, I found this Wildwood with an electric tone ring. Most I’ve seen are tubaphones. Not fancy, but it should be well-made and have fine sound. Nice price. Usual disclaimers: I am unacquainted with the seller and have no connection with him. I have zero need for this banjo, but it will be a fine player for someone.

It's a little unusual to see a Wildwood with such unattractively mis-matched "ears" on the back of the headstock. Usually they are matched seamlessly.

I asked the seller if the electric tone ring was original to the build, and he didn't have that information. Wildwoods with whyte laydie tone rings are out there, though few and far between.
