What is the difference between the Shubb Standard and Deluxe capo? They appear to by identical except for the price. If I order the standard version will I regret not getting the deluxe? shubb.com/product/model-5-capos/

I want to replace my Planet Waves capo which I find fiddly and slow to put and and take off.

Thanks

Nickel will provide a warmer tone. Just kidding.

Thanks for the feedback. So in a nutshell... only cosmetic differences.

Yes. And I'm not sure how many people can even see a difference between nickel and SS. There are folks with nickel allergies. If you can splurge, the yolk style fine tune capo from Shubb is a great value. You can leave it on the banjo (secure it up by the nut when not using). That's really handy when playing with others because you're not digging around trying to remember what pocket you left your capo in. In some cases, you can just leave it on and you won't forget it. They are not maybe as smooth as an Elliott, but they are probably less than half the price and just as functional. I think far better quality than Paige.

Consider checking out the Paige capos. In my experience, they are more accurate for intonation than the tension capos.

Appropriately the same price as the Shubb.
