I may already know the answer to this, but after working on the available Bach for Banjo tab books for the last couple of years, I have been trying to find a similar book of Vivaldi. I'm not finding one and wonder if anyone else has different information? Thanks to all.

Don't know of any, whichis shameful. I enjoy Vivaldi and believe his music would work well on banjo.

Perhaps a piece or two could be found in a more general book for those who aspire to play "classical" or in this case, early baroque, music on banjo.

Somebody must have transcribed some Vivaldi for banjo.

Back in the early 80’s in Central Park, I ran into a group of musicians playing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons on Guitar, banjo, mandolin and fiddle. Had it down pretty good. Ran into the same banjo player a few days later in Washington Square and he was playing some parts off of the Mandolin Concerto on banjo. Also pretty good. Can’t remember his name. Had a RB800 copy Japanese banjo. Was not very conversant on any level, but he must have transcribed the music out for the banjo as I doubt he was playing parts by ear memory.

I also enjoy the Bach for Banjo book. There is a second book, called Classical Themes for Banjo. It is a Hal Leonard book, whom I believe did the Bach book as well. It only has one Vivaldi piece, but I enjoy this book almost as much as the other one.

Not only did Vivaldi compose for mandolin and guitar but there's a Concerto for Two Mandolins. The lute instrument with the extra long bass neck is called a Theorbo.

A. Vivaldi: Concerto for Two Mandolins G-min. I-II-III

A friend and I used to play this.

Peter Pardee might know—if yu can track him down. His BHO account is locked and his website seems gone.

John Dowling plays some Vivaldi and writes tab. You might contact him.
