Is this an actual 5-string or is it just a replaced tailpiece on a tenor?
If it's a 5-string, and if the only issue with the neck is the loose binding, then I'd shoot for $2500 - $3000. If it's got an 11.5" head instead of the more common 11" head, aim for the upper end of that range.

No kidding sorry,
It’s the 5 string
All friction tuners
I’m with John on this one. They do not come up for sale often in a 5 string configuration, and when they do, they generally hover around the 3k mark.
Larger pot in excellent condition from a dealer, around 3500. Smaller pot from a dealer around 2700.
If the neck is good, these are wonderful playing and sounding instruments for numerous different styles, though Bluegrass is not one of those styles which limits the buyers market a bit.
Looks to me to be all original, right down to the case. Incredible find!
Thank you friends.
