Michael, I believe what you need is a piezoelectric pickup, sometimes just called a piezo. This means the pickup works a bit like a microphone and changes vibrations into an electronic signal. I thinks the Fishman is a magnetic pickup; the vibrations are transduced magnetically, which means they won't work with Nylon strings.
The emg is magnetic but it uses a small metal shim to make the pickup sense the vibrations. Half and half that one! It will work with Nylon strings I think, but my knowledge of pickups is from electronics, not from using either pickup that you mention.
Cheers from Bill.

As far as the EMG ACB 4-6, it definitely will not work.
As far as the Fishman and the ACB barrel, I don't think so, but you would be best off checking with the manufacturers directly.

The EMG is pricey too.
Any pickup that uses a steel (piece of a feeler gauge blade) under the middle foot of the bridge will work such as Jones.Doesn't the Fishman use a steel shim and a receiver box?
You've got me there Steve, I thought it was a regular magnetic pick up, but if it works as you say it should be fine.
Here is a link to show how cheap and easy a piezo pickup can be. There are some articles linked at the bottom of the item description that explains things a bit better.
Thank alot for the help, i klos both the fishman and emg barrel schould work, so i ordered the emg barrel, Looking forward
The music on my home page was recorded using a Jones.
