Good dark and early morning from clear Kingston, Ontario. It's 13C now, and will be 20C during the day, under sunny skies. Yesterday we went to Ottawa, where we went to antique shops and a used vinyl store, which yielded the first Poco album, the Plainsong album In Search of Amelia Earhart (featuring Iain Matthews), and the second, live, record by Perth County Conspiracy, the musical collective fronted by Terry Jones, Richard Keelan, and Stratford, Ontario (at the time) actor Cedric Smith. So we had breakfast in Gananoque, dinner in Carleton Place.
Nine years ago on this date I was coming back from a Cataraqui Trail event and, on a drizzly day, spotted these critters by a boat ramp on Perth Road.

At 17 minutes west of midnight we’re looking at 59*F today with some light showers. I’ll be trekking over the old Currie Barracks for a meeting with some other other ex-drunks.

Have a super Sunday everyone. A lovely day here in Lowell after a night of thunderstorms.
Good Day! Starting out damp but it is supposed to shape up later.
Seeing that heron reminds me of some visitors we had here last weekend!
Good morning from beautiful west-central MB...... 13 C., and day 2 of what's predicted to be 4 or 5 days of "possible showers," ..... but I'm led to believe the weather will be beautiful later on.
After supper last nite my wife finished setting out the balance of the plants we [read: she] had started or picked up ... first time I can recall that she did it wearing rubber boots!! [For the "inquiring minds that want to know," I was too busy TIMing and watching (?) hockey/baseball on TV. .... and, anyway, I made up for it by having tea/muffins ready when she finally did come in, AND going out and getting the lawn-care guy to weed-and-feed our lawn once we saw him doing our neighbour's. 
]
On the bird front, we're into our third spring of setting out orange slices for the orioles .... it picks up from year to year, but they seem kinda skittish..... and seem to be up and about earlier in the a.m. than I am.

A blue heron visited my pond in March and ate 5 of my smaller koi. I put a net and a plastic decoy up to prevent any more free lunches. Red tail hawks come by ocasionally but just sit up in the tree and scare the other birds away.
