I’ve just launched a new tutorial package for the Steampacket Reel on Soundslice. Have you experienced the Soundslice website yet? It’s amazing. Here’s a link to my page and you’ll find some free tune tutorials to explore
What I’m doing now is taking one tune and breaking it down into a bunch of different tutorials beginning with the basic tune, then gradually adding ornamentation, then chords, including some tutorials on topics like fingering and rhythm, exploring some variations and of course, one version that has all the bells and whistles!!
These videos take about 3 days work to prepare, edit, upload, transcribe etc. but I do love the work!!
If you’d like to get one or two of these tune tutorial packages each month then I invite you join me on Patreon. For less than the cost of one solitary coffee you can get access to The Steampacket reel which has 9 different videos to help you improve your playing.
If you’re really committed to improving your playing then join me on Discord where members of the community share ideas, ask me questions, and discuss so many aspects of banjo playing and gear.
There’s lots on offer, or just simply jump in and support my creative and teaching process.
And if you’d simply like to see what I’m at, watch these short YouTube videos!!
