Hello all my first post today I came across what I think is a vintage Kay banjo, it's a 4 string
with someone research I counted the frets 20 in total if I counted them right that's all I know.
Could someone tell my the model year, any value.
We need some more information and as many pictures of all the parts you can get. Kay banjos had several makers through the years and everyone is different from another.
It's a model K54T, a 19-fret tenor, built by the original Kay company in Chicago. That headstock and sticker logo date it to the early-mid '60s. The tuners are replacements.
Thank you the fast responses I will try to add more photos
