Except for one Slingerland banjo that I pieced together from old parts, this is the first tenor banjo I have built. All my other builds have been five strings. I got the strings on it today and it has a few buzzes. I am going to let it sit and settle through the weekend before I try to do anything else to it. It has a few flaws like the spot where the heel joins the neck but I built it just to see if I could. I may try to correct that heel cut later on. The neck is mahogany, the peghead overlay is Madagascar ebony, and the back of the peghead is black stained pear wood. The heel cap is Bolivian rosewood with an abalone diamond inlay. The resonator is African mahogany. Here are some pictures of it.
