Okay, Okay... I get it, why waste money on a piece of junk.

But this time it's different!

I had an interesting bottlecap banjo fall into my hands(it literally fell off the top of a tour bus). I've seen many bottlecaps over the years, all basically trash, but this one is much better built. It has a Tubaphone-esque tone ring, marquetry, and an obvious amount of love and time invested in it. Band aids over holes. MOP inlays replaced with wood. Mic tape marks...

And a broken neck.

Anyways, I have deemed it worthy of a second life. The pot is in good shape but it needs a neck. The pot measures slightly larger then 11". I needed an 11 1_8" head for it.

Neck can't be repaired fyi. Missing a piece.

What are my options with in reason?

Thanks y'all

Ebay .......if you can't buy just a neck, buy a banjo, sell the pot, keep the neck

Only a few have the tubaphone type tone ring. One of those is the Madiera which was contracted by Guild. You mention the marquetry so that kind of focuses on the Madiera. They used finer aluminum, less void , low slag.

I have one neck without the fingerboard, no tuners.
Pictures of the heel of your neck would help immensely.

"Madiera": correctly spelled "Madeira".

Thank you, without you, it just would not be the same. How do you pronounce your family name?

I've never heard of Madeira banjos before. Thanks for the info, I'll look into that!
