Congrats to the Tampa Bay Lightning for defeating the Florida Panthers in four straight games to win the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. They move on now to play the winner of the second round between the New York Rangers and the Carolina Hurricanes. I lived in the Tampa Bay area for 35 years and have been a Lightning fan for years. They won the last two Stanley Cup finals and they are probably going to win their third Stanley Cup in a row and become the first team to win three straight Stanley Cups since the Toronto Maple Leafs did it in the early 1960's.

I was surprised the Panthers folded like a cheap tent,, best record in the regular season, but as they’re saying in south Florida now, “What have you done for us lately”.
(btw, the Islanders won 4 in a row in the oily 80’s , if my memory serves me right,, and the Moan-Ray-all Canadiens won 4 in a row in the late 70's)
anyway, good on the Lightning so far,, it's extremely difficult to repeat

No particular favorite team* for me, a l-o-n-g time Habs fan. I do like watching [marveling at??] the play of McDavid, Makar, MacKinnon, and to lesser degree Point and Binnington
* = it's been "Go Yankees, Go!" for me since Les Hab were eliminated. ...around Christmas time If I recall correctly.

Edit: And Goldschmidt just schmucked a granny in the bottom of the 10th. to beat the Lubay Aysjay..... now I can snooze to Avs and Blues uninterrupted.
