I don’t know if I am the first, probably not.
But I did find a way to secure a couple of small pieces of wood which had happened as a result of a break.
Same principle as using surgical tubing to wrap around 2 pieces of wood, to clamp them together while the glue dries.
This is made for securing fish bait such as shrimp on to a hook. I don’t know it’s called, but it’s very fine rubbery string.
I have two pieces clamped together, works very well. I’m going to leave it in place for the next several hours. No reason to suspect it is not going to work.
I’ll try to find out what it is called.
