Not sure about Vega Seeger model prices, generally speaking. But I just noticed a 1963 model at Acoustic Corner, in Black Mountain, NC for $1850, which appears to be a bargain. No idea as to its condition, and I’ve no association with the store or the banjo. But, if there’s an interest in acquiring one, it might be worth investigating.
It’ll be interesting to see what the experts say about that ad. Those Seeger models seem to be all over the map, price wise, from the low 2Ks to the upper 3Ks, not even depending on condition as much as parts, originally, etc.

I have one for sale in excellent condition from 1971. Made by Vega in Boston, but sold under the Martin Guitar Company umbrella. Price is $2,500.

Many buyers place a premium on early models with wooden dowel sticks rather than twin co-ordinator rods. Tuners varied as well so it's important not to compare " apples and oranges ". As in all transactions, condition and originality also factor into value.
I've seen prices much higher, a few lower, BUT, this one does look very very clean. And an original Lifton case adds value. Probably a "fair" price, all in all.
