What was the rim thickness of this model?

For an accurate measurement, it would be necessary to remove the neck and measure through the endpin hole.

An estimate of the thickness of my Fairbanks made #1 by projecting through the f holes with eye and ruler is ~3/8", perhaps a little more. Later models made by Lange, Bacon, or others may be different.

I found a better way to measure without taking the banjo apart, and will confirm the thickness is approximately 3/8".

If I'm not mistaken, the Bacon FF models were made by three different factories (maybe four?).

Fairbanks/Vega - Boston
Lange - New York
Bacon - Forest Dale VT
Bacon - Groton, MA?

Many specifications differ from one source to another.  So would not be surprised to see some variation in rim thickness and type depending on where they were produced.
