I got an email "sent from (member's personal email address) via Banjo Hangout" -- since the email to me came from "noreplay@banjohangout.org" how can I reply? My profile page shows no record of a message being sent to me. I'd like to respond through the hangout, though.
Thanks for the help!
What thisoldman said is correct, however, if you don't want to go to the trouble to look up the member's username, go to his/her home page, click on PM then do this:
If you got an e-mail from the member, that e-mail will have the member's address and you can e-mail him/her without going through the PM here at the Hangout.
At least in my email program (Yahoo) I can just click the reply button on the email I get from Banjo Hangout and type in my message, and when I hit send it goes to the original sender's email address, not to noreply@banjohangout. I would give it a try and see, the worst thing that can happen is that it doesn't go.
It's not complicated.
"Received From" and "Reply To" are two different email addresses and anyone can send from one address to have replies going to another email address. This has been so since email has been a thing and has nothing to do with BHO. You can do this yourself from your own email client.
All you need to do is hit the reply button in your email, and you'll see that you will be replying directly to the sender's email.
No hoops to jump through. It's simple and easy. Just reply to that email.
