I just watched IBMA's post of a video Zoom discussion of Crowe's legacy with Ron Block and Ronnie Stewart moderated by Bill Evans.
There is some EXTREMELY interesting stuff here!! It's a long watch, so set some time aside to consider all the FINE POINTS these guys bring out.

Great stuff.
I saw Ron Stewart with Crowe in Roanoke, VA, around 2005, not that long after Stewart joined the band on fiddle. Word was that Stewart had invigorated Crowe, and indeed the band was terrific, with Harold Nixon on bass, Dwight McCall on mandolin and Ricky Wasson on guitar and lead vocals. The musical and personal connection between Crowe and Stewart was impossible to miss.
